#167 - Run Towards Difficult Conversations to Find Freedom
Why do we tend to avoid confrontations?
Confrontations are often difficult. It takes a lot of strength to have a deep, emotional, and sometimes even intense conversation with someone whom we may have previously had an argument with, or someone we’re not comfortable expressing our thoughts and feelings to.
Being confronted can strike fear in our hearts, make us self-conscious, or feel inferior or intimidated. Sadly, this can affect our self-confidence and ability to face challenging situations that could be an opportunity for personal growth and development.
While confrontations can feel difficult or heavy, it is a pathway to being more open and understanding of the things around us. It helps us to be more compassionate and responsive to the needs of other people. It allows us to be more productive and establish healthy relationships.
